Kenzo x Toilet Paper

If Laura Palmer and co. were 21st century urbanites their lives would probably look a little like Kenzo’s Fall/Winter campaign. The French house’s designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon re-teamed with Italian experimental magazine Toilet Paper (a collaboration which in the past has been responsible for the foot-hand-eyes-everywhere campaign which I’ve seen many people thumbtack to their walls) to create a one-minute video to advertise Kenzo’s latest collection.

The video borrows influence from cult director David Lynch whose spirit, surrealism, and overall genius eeriness aren’t only strewn throughout the video but throughout the collection as well – a collection that was directly inspired by the legendary man with the mythical hair. Starring models Guinevere van Seenus and Robert McKinnon, the video spans from colorful scene to colorful scene, highlighting every piece of clothing beautifully. All it’s missing is Kyle MacLachlan.
