"My inspiration this season is Powerful Women," the petite beauty explains. "I wanted to create a line of suits for women that make women feel empowered. We were inspired by Madonna and the Gaultier suiting from the ’90s." Madonna seems to everywhere these days (see: Super Bowl), Subkoff was interested in a more artisanal approach. She collaborated with bespoke tailors Amber Doyle and Jake Mueser of Doyle Mueser for the ’40s meets ’70s aesthetic. The sharply tailored collection is set to show on Sunday, Feb. 12 at Buddakan, 75 9th Avenue, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
