London Fashion Week: Christian Blanken
The long tunnel gallery at Somerset House was the perfect place to catch a detail oriented runway presentation. Christian Blanken’s fall 2012 line was a minimalistic and sophisticated approach to keeping warm while looking effortlessly chic next winter.
The shapes were long and lean without much structure or definition, combining various layered textures made from luxurious furs, leathers and wools. Contrasted against a clean palette of white, grey and black, the delicate touches of color made Blanken’s designs shine.
An air of bold sophistication flowed throughout the Dutch designers collection, and his form fitting pieces will translate well into any self-confident women’s wardrobe.
