Danish born shoe designer Camilla Skovgaard debuted a fashion film, shown here, at her presentation held at The Hole gallery. Dark, challenging and gothic, the film mirrors the spirit of her Spring 13 shoe collection. After the presentation, Njena Reddd Foxxx performed Imma Read live and it wasn’t long until clubbers jumped onto the stage and began vogueing to the clear delight of Skovgaard who was grinning from ear to ear.

Why a fashion film, why did you choose to express yourself with a film?
I’ve changed quite a bit as a designer in the past few years and since we don’t have a runway show I asked the director, how difficult it would be to make a film? We discussed fashion films because there are a lot of them out there on the market and not very good so we knocked a lot of ideas around and shot it about two months ago.

You’ve got many tattoos tell me about one?
Well this one I had done about six years ago in Thailand by monks, I was staying in a monastry with monks. It’s supposed to protect me.

Njena Reddd Foxxx performed live for you tonight, how do you know her?
I loved the song (Imma Read by Zebra Katz) and mailed her to ask if she’d like to do the music for the film, I thought she’d be too busy but she mailed back straightaway and said she’d be delighted to do it, I nearly fell off my chair. I’m a huge fan of theirs.
