Beauty Notes: Assembly New York
The beauty look for Assembly New York’s Spring 2013 presentation is as simple and relaxed as the clothes, themselves. Robert Ham, director of education for Moroccanoil used the line’s signature treatment to lightly finess the models and give their locks a mere touch-up from their natural state.
"The hair today is very simple," says Ham. "We wanted to make it look like the models got up and put something on, and walked here through the streets of New York, and we left their hair almost exactly how it is. We did more of a last minute refresher, to take the head they woke up with this morning and add more life and positioning."
Will Lemmon of Temptu, created a dewy, natural look on the face with the brand’s airbrush technology.
"The are clothes supposed to fit two sexes and glide evenly between the male and female, so they wanted something more ‘human’ than ‘beauty,’ said Lemmon. "So what’s great about Temptu is that it gives a really dewy finish, and you don’t need any weird pearl essence. It goes on really naturally and gives that natural look they wanted."
