Although my new favorite downtown wild child Cat Marnell (thank you for the BEST interview ever) was a total no-show at her own party, the launch of Galore magazine’s fashion week pop-up on Lafayette, she was there in inebriated spirit. And the first official party of fashion week was seriously so fun. I heard variations of "this is so old school downtown" from a slew of dip-dyed/asymmetrical-tangled-locks-and-vintage-hats/worn-in biker jackets/ shredded skinnies clad cuties, which basically summed up the evening. Said cuties included designer Eddie Borgo (in a massive wide-brimmed hat), DJ/It Girl Becka Diamond (her neck concealed by a Zana Bayne leather chocker), and hostess-with-the-mostess, Andrej Pejic, who was giving major sass in her "custom-made" Balmain kicks. Pejic revealed a dream goal to be Playboy cover-girl and a secret talent – the whole fisting your mouth thing – of which I was skeptical, especially after I asked for a demonstration…to no avail. Doh.

The Galore magazine pop-up is at What Goes Around Comes Around, 440 Lafayette St (at Astor Place) New York, NY 10003. Tel: 646-370-6391
