RUNWAY REVIEW: IT'S A WRAP-UP AT MM6

Inspired by the 1952 Oslo Winter Olympics (in which Norwegian truck driver Hjalmar Andersen won three out of four speed skating events to become the most decorated athlete at the Games, fact fans), the Margiela design studio showcased a collection where even evening wear had an outerwear feel. Some of the most successful pieces were fashioned from a futuristic, quilted fox-fur print – everything from an outsize scarf to long and short puffa coats and even a hand-warming muff. Meanwhile, knitted, ribbed leggings and leg-warmers were given a shiny coating, while one sleek acid yellow coat will guarantee high visibility on the slopes or snowy sidewalk.
