Liars at the MET

Thanks to our good friends at MUTE, on Saturday we were invited to check out Liars perform in the majestic Temple of Dendur at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

We arrived a little early and were able to soak in some of the artifacts…unfortunately there weren’t any beverages to soak up as well, the place was as dry as the Mesopotamian desert. Once Liars hit the stage though, salivating to their artful soundscape was all we needed.

The genre-transcending trio decorated the halls of the Temple with their music for just a little over an hour, ending their set with a new song entitled "Can’t Hear Well". While the band bled out their messy formal for music, scratchy graphics and pixelated live renditions of their likeness were projected across the walls.

You can download two of the bands latest tracks, "Perfume Tear" and "I Saw You From The Lifeboat" by visiting their website

Photos By: Andrew Boyle captured some great moments and we’re glad to share them with you.
