Tumblr Behind the Scenes at #MADEFW
Tumblr’s new crew of New York Fashion Week bloggers equipped with all-access passes and cameras have descended on Milk and are already venturing into some of the untouched corners of MADE Fashion Week.
Here’s what they shot on the first day.
Bradford Gregory: "Today was really the first busy, busy day and it was so beautiful outside. Some of the spaces had nice natural light which I love. I listened to some dreamy synth music on my iPhone between shows and felt an influence from it come out in my work."
Hannah Sider: "Started early with Peter Som and all the models had fresh faces and strong brows. All the patterns on the runway were awesome." Houghton was next, at The Standard, and it was great to have a show outside and shoot with natural light. Pretty pastel colors and fishtail braids. I loved the Cushnie et Ochs show – it was very sexy and the white looks were my favorite. Karlie Kloss opening in that white dress was breathtaking.
"This has definitely been an interesting experience for me. It started when I got into a bike accident on my way to Milk on Thursday – I messed up my arm pretty bad and have been taking pain killers since so my mind is a little fuzzy. Afterwards I cracked the screen on my laptop while sitting at my desk to edit… It’s definitely been exciting so far!
I’m just trying to focus on keeping my eyes open and see what is out there. I am really excited to see the clothes move on the models and I’m fascinated by the really great personal style that is out there."
Matthew Perrone: "Had an excellent time backstage at Milk for Cushnie et Ochs. Became Instagram friends with Steph Hall before the show, congratulated the ladies on their collection afterwards, then ended up trading Polaroids with Karlie Kloss. Text from friend: Karlie inspired my makeup for tonight because of that pic!"
And then we have an awesome gif of the Cushnie et Ochs finale from Ryan Charchain.
