Spells and Inner Circles at Charlotte Ronson
Better known for sweeter and more innocent clothing, Charlotte Ronson ventured to the dark side this season, admitting that she was "always drawn to the dark, spooky side of things."
Dark it was: This season’s collection was a sea of black, with navy and burgundy thrown in for good measure. Red lip motifs adorned dresses and shirts to cut through the sinister, while stripes and lips appeared elsewhere throughout separates in the collection. Sexuality screamed through on select pieces, with black-on-black panels of velvet and erotic sheer inserts. Long knee-high length hemlines, body-hugging shapes and exposed shoulders added further sex appeal, as did predatory high heels and lace-up sandals with black socks which appeared at first glance to be booties. Cutting through the gothic sensuality was a touch of bohemia, though, courtesy of wide-brimmed hats in black wool, chiffon blouses and blue silk-striped dresses.
The Hudson Hotel‘s Hub lounge was filled in every corner by Ronson’s inner circle and fans who came out in force to root for—Nicky Hilton, Joe Jonas, Jamie Chung and Jesse Metcalfe, among others.
