The 11th Annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards
Last night the The 11th edition of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards were staged in Tribeca and saw shoe designer Paul Andrew collect the main award as an emerging talent.
Since the program was launched in 2004, the non profit CFDA in association with Vogue have used the awards to offer talented designers grants and mentorships as a way of furthering their career.
The ceremony was led by Seth Myers and featured Stella McCartney as a keynote speaker. Also in attendance were Vogue chief Anna Wintour, Melissa George and Serena Williams.
For top prize, Paul Andrew will be granted $300,000 and a mentorship from industry specialists in order to expand his design range. Eva Zuckerman and Ryan Roche were named the night’s runners up and were awarded mentorships and prizes of $100,000 each.
The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards has now granted $4.1 million to 33 design companies since 2004.
