Rizzoli releases Yohji Yamamoto book

Earning respect in the fashion world doesn’t always come easy, but Yohji Yamamoto, one of the most innovative and influential designers of today, has solidified his respect in industry during his 40 year career, designing to the beat of his own drum. Yamamoto’s numerous exhibitions around the world, the Y-3 collaboration with Adidas, contributions to film, literature and most notably his ready to wear and haute couture shows have cemented his undeniable talent and devotion to his craft.

With this in mind Rizzoli has just released a 400 page new book aptly titled “Yamamoto & Yohji. The book is dedicated to the designer’s creative thought process and the work he’s done over the years since his first fashion show in 1981. Each chapter provides the reader with further insight into his conceptual body of work along with personal essays, contributions by Charlotte Rampling, Wen Wenders and interviews with the celebrated Japanese designer. It also features photographs of some his most iconic garments shot by Nick Knight, Inez and Vinoodh, Craig McDean, Max Vadukul amongst numerous other collaborators.
