12.12.2014Anna Wintour honoured at BFA by John Galliano

What’s a party without Anna Wintour, Courtney Love, Tom Ford, or Rihanna? Those are just a few of the esteemed guests seen on the red carpet at London’s Coliseum last night at the British Fashion Awards. The high-profile event featured international stars from designers to models, style icons and editors, to famous families and pop-singers — a panoramic of names and faces meeting at the crossroads of fashion and music industries.
Celebrated award-winners of last night include: Victoria Beckham who won for Brand of the Year. Cara Delevingne – who commissioned Karl Lagerfeld’s private jet to make it on time (just casual) – won for Model of the Year. Emma Watson won the British Fashion award, presented to her by Harry Styles, and Rihanna and Naomi Campbell presented Fashion Creator award to Edward Enniful, W Magazine’s style director. Perhaps the most poignant moment of the evening was when Anna Wintour, wearing new Margiela by Galliano and close to brink of tears, took home the award for Outstanding Achievement, presented to her by none other than John Galliano. Galliano emerged from the shadows of controversy to present the award, thanking his “loyal friends” for their constant support. Last night, he received a warm welcome back into the fashion world.
