Nicki Minaj is perfection as the face of Roberto Cavalli

As if Nicki Minaj wasn’t already killing it in the fashion game this year by toning her usual outrageous looks down a lil bit and gracing the cover of Vogue Italia’s December 2014 issue, she is now the new face of Roberto Cavalli’s Spring/Summer ’15 Campaign, following her predecessor Rita Ora. She looks so good as she endorses the Italian brand’s eyewear, accessory, and ready-to-wear lines. Shot by Francesco Carrozzini, Nicki stuns us in billowing dresses with lace cut outs and a snakeskin-lapel blazer, amongst other pieces.

Cavalli said in a statement: “I chose Nicki Minaj because she embodies the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman. In recent years we have become accustomed to women castigated in clothes that hide their body shapes. With this campaign, I wanted to send a strong counter-trend message. I wanted a sensual woman who is aware of her body, who is not afraid to show her curves but rather make them her strength.”

This has been a great year for fashion and music for Nicki, and I think we can all appreciate a gal who isn’t afraid to say “he toss like salad like his name was Romaine.” We approve of this campaign!
