$100 Larry Clark Photos for One Week Only
Ever dreamt of owning a Larry Clark photograph but never quite had the moneys to spend on it? Well for only $100 that dream can finally become a reality. As a celebration for this 71st birthday, the Kids director decided to offer a very special gift to his fans by going through an archive of photos he took between 1992 – 2010 and sell them at a more accessible figure than the average $10,000 price point.
The sale will be available in L.A.’s Ooga Booga in Chinatown and will last for only a week starting tomorrow. So you better grab your skateboards and cruise to your one-time opportunity!
On his website, Clark’s explains that his sale decision is for “all the kids that come to my shows in thousands and could never afford 10 to 15 thousand dollars for a print (…) this is a pay back to all the skate rats and collectors who would like a souvenir so I can die happy.”
The cannon includes on-location photos taken by Clark while filming some of his most famous films like Kids, Bully, and Ken Park, as well as portraits, self-portraits, and even outtakes from a calendar shoot he did for Supreme. So if the lines that wrap around the Lafayette store are any indication of the fandom surrounding Larry Clark, Supreme, Chloë Sevigny, and anything else related, you better start figuring out where you’re gonna set up camp and what you’re gonna say when you call in sick for the upcoming week.
