A Hot Minute with Anna Wintour
We were thrilled this morning as we walked into the runway space for Wes Gordon, to find the one and only Anna Wintour waiting for the show to start. We couldn’t resist stealing a moment with the longstanding Editor-in-Chief of Vogue to ask her thoughts on the first show of the day.
What made you want to come to Wes Gordon?
I’ve been a big fan of Wes for several years, since he first applied to the CFDA Fashion Fund, and he was a finalist again last year. And having spent a lot of last year with him for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund process I was really anxious to see what he was going to do today.
What do you think is unique about his style?
He reminds me a little bit of a young Bill Blass. He has a great sense of dressing young girls in a very chic way; it’s much less street than what many other designers are doing. I think it’s very fitting really.
Will you be seeing any other shows at Made this week?
Well I’ll be seeing lots of shows, but I never know where I’m going until I look at my schedule each day, but I’m sure that I am. I’m quite sure that I’ll be seeing Public School.
