NBA All-Star Weekend Wrap-Up

The✓&search=nba+all+star+weekend“>NBA All-Star Weekend came to a close last night, and unfortunately not in favor of the East Coast—a.k.a. we lost. No big deal though, New York’s been winning all week playing host to tons of exciting events surrounding✓&search=made+fashion+week“>Fashion Week and the NBA takeover. But, now that the games are over, we’ve lined up a few of the NBA Weekend’s finest All-Star 2015 moments.

The All-Star Celebrity Game

This year, the celebrity team was a hodgepodge of comedic acts, with funny-lady✓&search=sarah+silverman“>Sarah Silverman, Mariah’s ex-man Nick Cannon,✓&search=anthony+anderson“>Anthony Anderson, and the teeny-tiny and hilarious meme –generator Kevin Hart playing and acting a fool on the court. Greatest moment of the game? American Little League pitching champ, Mo’ne Davis busted Kevin Hart’s ass on the court as the 13 year old as she swerved right around him and scored. You go girl!

Sprite Concert

On Friday, Irving Plaza was way too live with performances by✓&search=nas“>Nas,✓&search=drake“>Drake, iLoveMakkonen,✓&search=travis+scott“>Travi$ Scott, and [Kanye West](✓&search=kanye“>Kanye,). Need we say more?

Justin Bieber x Action Bronson

At FADER’s charity event,✓&search=action+bronson“>Action Bronson and the Bieb went head to head in an intense ping-pong match. Can you guess who came out on top? Rest assured it wasn’t the XXL rapper—Bieber slayed Action with the final score being 21-7.

The NBA All-Star Game’s NY Tribute Show

Of course all major sports events have stellar performances at the beginning, middle, and end. With Queen Latifah singing the ‘Star Spangled Banner’, and Tamia showing love up north with the Canadian National Anthem-the night was just getting started. Christina Aguilera came out and gave a New York themed performance singing Sinatra’s ‘New York, New York,’ Stevie Wonder’s ‘Livin In The City,’ and Jay-Z’s ‘Empire State of Mind’ with the city’s Rockettes kicking and swinging behind her. Repping Queens, Nas rolled through with ‘New York State of Mind,’ and Ariana Grande rocked the half-time stage performing ‘Bang Bang’ joined by✓&search=nicki+minaj“>Nicki Minaj.

Russell Westbrook Is The All-Star MVP

Oklahoma City Thunder and✓&search=true+religion“>True Religion’s newest Creative Director Russell Westbrook brought it home for the West Coast last night, absolutely killing the game. Westbrook scored 41 points (27 of which were scored in the first half), making him the third player in All-Star history to score in the 40 point range, alongside✓&search=michael+jordan“>Michael Jordan’s 40 in 1988, and Wilt Chamberlain’s 42 back in 1952. So far, it’s been a fabulous start to the New Year for the 26 year old basketball champ.
