Become one with the art at an #ArtSelfie Museum
Disappointed that your Mona Lisa picture didn’t reach Beyonce & Jay-Z greatness? Maybe next time, skip the Louvre and stop by the Art In Island Museum in The Philippines.
Art In Island is an interactive 3D art museum that encourages its visitors to participate with art. Located in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines, this museum presents replicas of classic paintings, like Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’ and Munch’s ‘The Scream", that are re-designed for its visitors to integrate themselves into the artwork. Some of the museum’s paintings stretch from the floor to the ceiling, ensuring a truly immersive experience.
With approximately 200 3D exhibits, Art in Island allows its visitors to touch, climb and play with the artwork– giving the term #ArtSelfie a whole new meaning. Furthermore, unlike most museums, this museum has no restrictions on photography and more importantly has no ban on selfie sticks. The museum’s only rule is that visitors must take off their shoes to avoid damaging the artwork.
We’re not sure if we’ll be heading to Manila any time soon, but if we do, we’ll be sure to get a rimmy from this tiger, just like this guy.
