Boyhood's Ellar Coltrane Just Became a Model
Out of all the movies that came out of 2014, the only one that continues to give us a whole bunch of feels is Boyhood, a moving emotional epic that is entirely held together by the acting chops of its remarkable young star, Ellar Coltrane. But what the now 20-year-old young man has in raw talent is equally reflected in his enviable good looks, a fact that modeling agency giant Wilhelmina has now capitalized on.
Yes, that’s right. Coltrane is now a bona fide male model. Wilhelmina made the announcement via Facebook, welcoming the actor in a shoot that offers a twist on the already iconic Boyhood poster. While he may not have had the chance to demonstrate some true blue steel on film, Wilhelmina will be giving him opportunities to shine in spades, with upcoming projects such as a Hedi Slimane-shot cover for V Man and a Bruce Weber-shot campaign for L’Uomo Vogue.
Wilhelmina has signed clients such as Coco Rocha, Kendall Jenner, and even Nick Jonas, but Coltrane will prove a unique addition to their roster of very good-looking young people. Though Boyhood may have somehow lost Best Picture, Mr. Coltrane’s good fortune seems to continue to surge forward. We’re just excited that we’ll be continually seeing his face in the meantime.
