What's going on with Tyler, the Creator and Frank Ocean?
Where is Frank Ocean? What’s up with Tyler, the Creator? Everyone’s been going wild, trying to figure out the answers to these questions. Frank Ocean came out to the public in a written confessional, a devastated Tyler turned to his Twitter to announce the closing of hot-spot Odd Future merchandise store in Los Angeles, and Golf Wang went on a hiatus. But, it looks like the OFWGKTA collective has been working harder than we thought. Following member, Earl Sweatshirt’s, surprise album drop, I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside, on March 23, Tyler and Frankie have recently released some fantastic news surrounding new material, set to surface very soon.
Frank Ocean: Boys Don’t Cry
Having deleted his Instagram and Twitter accounts following a cyber-battle with Chris Brown (remember when Frank called Chris Ike Turner?)—Frank’s been nowhere to be found. This week, he took to his Tumblr to announce the follow-up to his 2013 panty-dropper, Channel Orange, titled Boys Don’t Cry, along with a two-versioned mag of the same title, set to drop in July.
Tyler, the Creator: Cherry Bomb
Tyler also took to social media to announce his upcoming album release, app, and mag. After having been on a Twitter absence shy of retweets supporting other artists’ projects, @fucktyler graced the timeline, “HI, TODAY IM EITHER COMING OUT THE CLOSET OR SHOWING YOU SOMETHING COOL AT 9PM,” which we came to find out was a brand new app, Golf Media, two new singles, a music video (which we’ve provided for you), a mag, and the release date of his new album, Cherry Bomb—set to drop this Friday. We hear that he’s set to collaborate with Yeezy, Pharrell, and Lil Wayne. Are you hyped yet?
