Harrison Ford Owns in new Star Wars Trailer + Exhibit
Get your lightsabers ready because Star Wars is back and more intergalactic than ever. The second trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released Thursday, and fans have been going crazy over the last 30 seconds of it. Why? Harrison freaking Ford is back as our favorite intergalactic, bad boy smuggler, Han Solo, along with Chewbacca obviously. The throwback has reaffirmed fans that director J. J. Abrams will stay true to the Star Wars name. Too bad we have to wait until Christmas to relive our nerdy childhood epic.
For those of us that can’t wait, there is something else to look forward to. Generation Gallery in Manchester, England, will be opening an exclusive Star Wars exhibit. Keeping with the hype, the exhibition opens on May 4th, the unofficial Star Wars day (May the fourth be with you), and will feature Lucas Arts approved paintings, and even an exclusive retro poster for the original 1980 release of The Empire Strikes Back. The gallery also announced that it will be celebrating George Lucas’ birthday on May 14th.
So if you can’t wait for the wintertime release of the new movie, and you happen to really like the idea of your favorite characters reimagined as Victorian English gentlemen, head over to England to get your fix of pop culture nerdom. And remember, the Force will be with you, always.
The Star Wars exhibit will be at the Generation Gallery until May 25th
