Check Out Michel Gondry's video for The Chemical Brothers
French visual genius Michel Gondry never fails to amaze us with his artistry, vision and distinct sense of style. The man behind the Oscar Award winning Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is an icon in the world of music video direction and has recently teamed up with The Chemical Brothers for their latest music video — the first time Gondry has worked with the British electronic group since 2001.
Gondry has made a name for himself as one of the greatest music video directors of our time, directing videos for Daft Punk, Bjork, Radiohead, Kanye West. In recent years Gondry, has been directing less and less frequently. His music video for the Chemical Brothers’ new song "Go" is the only video he’s made this year, making this collab even more extraordinary.
The music video for The Chemical Brothers’ new track takes place in an urban and futuristic setting and features a rather muted color palette and minimalistic vibe. It stars a group of women, synchronized in both clothing and movement, and constructs a dystopian aesthetic that is reminiscent of Stanley Kubrick’s classic film A Clockwork Orange.
The Chemical Brothers’ album Born in the Echoes is scheduled to drop July 7th and will be accompanied by a European tour.
