The Most NSFW Movie Posters of All Time Have Arrived
All eyes are on the sunny, southeast coast of France as the most prestigious event of the film world has officially kicked off. Cannes, the yearly festival that screens an international selection of films ranging from Hollywood blockbusters to low-budget indie gems, can always be counted on to premiere the more intelligent cinematic releases, but this year’s roster includes one film that has already caused quite a stir. How, you may be wondering? With a film poster that just happens to feature an ejaculation.
The film in question, Love, is the latest project from controversial filmmaker Gaspar Noé. Little is known about the new movie other than its depiction of a three-person relationship consisting of “a boy and a girl and another girl.” Bodily fluids seem to be a major through line of the film, as the posters include, aside from the aforementioned ejaculation, an intense close-up of a three person make out, with dribbles of spit being almost too realistically rendered.
Sex and sexuality are nothing new for Noé, who is most well known for the film Irreversible and its sickeningly lengthy scene of rape. His most recent feature, Enter the Void, also included a variety of piercingly realistic sex scenes, albeit depicted under the haze of the main character’s drug hallucinations. Noé also photographed the instantly iconic, but equally controversial, album cover to Sky Ferreira’s debut LP Night Time, My Time, an image that found Ferreira nude in the shower.
While we’re excited about the upcoming film, we feel like it might not be the best movie to go see with Mom. Take a peep at the full selection of the posters for Love at your own risk, we might recommend making sure no one’s looking over your shoulder.
