Calvin Klein's Boob Print has Landed and We're Obsessed
The Calvin Klein Resort 2016 collection yesterday saw a perky new addition to the runway. The recent line premiered the now internet famous boob print, which was designed by NYC based illustrator Alice Lancaster.
The collection, which featured long silhouettes in a monochromatic color scheme, adds to the ongoing fashion conversation embracing nudity. We’ve already seen Rick Owens’ penis-bearing fashion show in January and the provocative "mono-boob" dress from Saint Laurent. Lancaster’s simple yet striking line drawings (printed on long tees, jackets and shoes) serve as a playful addition to this movement.
Lancaster, who in the past has worked with American Apparel and VEDA, is an artist who explores femininity and sexuality. We’re excited to see what’s next for her and can’t wait to help #FreeTheNipple with some boob print attire.
