Models brawl in new Proenza Schouler Campaign

While Chanel and Marc Jacobs were casting celebrity children in their campaigns, Proenza Schouler took a different approach. For the label’s newest collection, established models are fighting for the spotlight — literally. The latest campaign involves the models pushing and shoving each other while donning the AW15 collection. Slay!

The campaign, shot by David Sims and styled by Marie Chaix, is the label’s first to include multiple models. The shots show the women, including Liya Kebede and Anne Catherine Lacroix, both 37, hashing it out in order to reflect the feral nature of the clothing.

“There were no preconceived ideas about how the pictures would turn out in the end. We let the process completely direct the outcome,” head designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough told WWD.

It’s an ugly truth that the media loves pinning women against each other. After watching the internet erupt in a frenzy over the Nicki vs Taylor Twitter drama (they’ve since made up — aw), it’s likely that this campaign will be a big hit.
