Yoko Ono x Death Cab is the WTF Collab of 2015
Do you want to live where soul meets body while screaming incomprehensibly in the middle of an art museum? Same. Luckily for everyone in the world there’s another Yoko Ono remix album releasing in January that trumps the weirdness of 2007’s Yes, I’m A Witch. On that album, the internationally recognized artist/musician/activist enlisted the help of Le Tigre, Peaches, The Flaming Lips, and many others. Next year, Yoko will upstage herself in only a way she can with an even weirder sequel album.
Set for an early January release next year, Yoko’s Yes, I’m A Witch Too makes up for a painful lack of creativity in the title with a star-studded cast of collaborators and remixers that you loved three years ago. Leading the list of strange guests is Death Cab For Cutie—or the band you listen to in the rain while you think about all your worst high school memories. The album will also feature more soft angst with Portugal the Man, Miike Snow, tUnE-yArDs, and Sparks.
Get your preorders ready. Come January, the album will arrive just in time for you to burrow into your apartment, look out at the icy hellhole of winter, and let Yoko and her guest stars thaw your heart and soul with their mystic vocals.
