Solange x Puma Proves That Girls Still Run the World

Much like her big sis, Solange Knowles knows who runs the world. She’s making it all about the girls in her new Puma collab Word to the Women. The singer and fashionista extraordinaire hand picked 15 of her favorite female creators to model the monochromatic trainers. Featuring talents like February James, Alice Lane, Cleo Wade, and our favorite pocket-rocket Kitty Cash, the collab has a tour de force of powerhouse artists and professionals encompassing all fields. Kitty Cash writes, ‘I realized what the campaign was all about. The empowerment of women through a series of various visual stories that all lead to a road of greatness.’

The campaign, shot by J. Quazi King, shows of each girl’s beauty and also gives us shoe envy like no other. The sneakers seem simple, but each color (there are four total) comes with a different imprint texture ‘tailored for every woman.’ While this makes for the third collaboration between Solange and the German brand, this new campaign brings a much needed dose of diversity, positivity, and female empowerment to the table. But when a member of the Knowles family gets involved, would you expect anything less? Girl Power!
