Virgil Abloh Curates the Dopest Lot for Paddle8

When he’s not busy DJing, working as Creative Director for bff Kanye West and DONDA, or designing clothes and furniture for his eponymous line OFF-WHITE c/o Virgil Abloh, the multifaceted superhuman (seriously, who has that much time in a day?) fills his free hours collecting all types of art. Meanwhile, we’ve been spending our weekends telling Netflix that we are, indeed, still watching.

Abloh’s most recent collaboration comes via Paddle8 – the same site that auctioned off the sole copy of Wu Tang’s [Once Upon a Time in Shaolin]( http://www.milkmade.com/articles/3346–5-Million-for-Wu-Tang-Album-If-you-re-Lucky#.VdTW4FlViko) – and it entails him creating an online art show/bidding room called ‘You Sure’ with carefully curated pieces. The powerhouse presents a delectable selection of pieces that include work by Jenny Holzer, Diego Matthai, Banksy, Garry Winogrand, and Louis Vuitton. About his curating process Abloh told Paddle8, “The expression of the design or painting, and how it makes me feel, that’s my litmus test. The items we put together speak to my personal sensibility in terms of artistic expression, everything from a painting to a credenza. Purity in design resonates within me, to my core.”

The selected pieces are as diverse as his career pursuits, ranging from high-end art deco furniture, to more street-wear inspired pieces, like Yoshimoto Nara bookends. "It represents my background, which was primarily focused in modern architecture, spanning to the culture of my youth, the basis of which was streetwear, skateboarding, and graffiti," Abloh says of the collection.

So in case you’ve been dying to live like the eye behind Kanye West and have at least $3,000 to spend off the bat, click here to check out the entire catalogue.
