5 Dope Runway Looks from NYFW [Pt. II]
We’ve officially bid Fashion Week adieu (dabs brow), so as a follow-up to our first roundup of looks we favored, here’s a nod to the final few.
The DIY-driven brand sent a mustard yellow dress with bondage detailing down the runway—though might be more accurate to call it a plank (the show took place on a boat—which we will henceforth be including on any and all wish lists. As for whom we will be sending these wish lists to remains to be seen.
There is a white pantsuit that Beaufille included as part of their SS17 collection that, if worn correctly, should make you feel like a flamenco dancing Bianca Jagger. And don’t tell us that’s not the look you’re going for at all times.
3. Bror August
The young brand’s SS17 collection was apparently inspired by Sex and the City, and given the many subtle touches of pink throughout, we can see why. A particularly tight and gauzy shirt held us rapt, both for its likeness to Carrie during her heyday, and for its nipple-gazing, underground appeal.
4. Sandy Liang
To be honest, anything Liang touches leaves us googly-eyed, but there was a particular jacket that was included in her SS17 presentation that we can’t stop thinking about. It was in line with her usual staples—except, well, better: an angelic confluence of white, light pink, and light blue fluffy sheepskin. We’ll take three? (Just to be safe.)
5. Pyer Moss
We are curently in need of the platform oxfords that Pyer Moss sent down the runway this past week, both because they’re equal parts work and play, and because we understood their resemblance to an iceberg as a subtle nod toward environmental destruction at the hands of greed. That is all.
