5 Panorama Performers Whose Looks We Can't Wait to See
Festival season is alive and well, especially considering the forthcoming Panorama Music Festival upon us. Like Coachella—its California counterpart—Panorama is a three-day matrimony of music and fashion on Randall’s Island, where each element bears comparable significance to the other. Thankfully, both the lineup of artists and their personal style seem promising this year; giving us a lot to look forward to.
Solange, Frank Ocean, MØ, Bishop Briggs, HONNE and Sofi Tukker are among the 70+ artists that you’ll be jamming out to under the sun and the influence of who knows what. We’ve gathered a few of the performers whose looks we’re as excited to see as we are their sets. Check them out below.
SolangeIt goes without say that Solange is constantly serving beauty and grace on a daily basis, but when it comes to performance looks, she’s serving performance art. Quick to turn her sets into meaningful productions, it’s hard to say what’s to expect of the fearless singer besides, oh, we don’t know… absolute greatness? If you’ll be at the festival on Friday, get your ass to the main stage at 8:00pm to catch a glimpse of this goddess and her garments; both of which will not disappoint. Solange, are you listening? We love you.
KiiaraThough perhaps you’re not familiar with the name, your hips have most likely swayed to Kiiara’s alternative-pop hit, ‘Gold.’ Her beats, packing a powerful punch, but easy on the ears, are equivalent to the artist’s statement pink locks—bold, yet easy on the eyes. She’s got her sound and her look down pat, which you can see for yourself at Panorama on Sunday.
Nick Murphy (Chet Faker)Having reinvented himself by killing his stage name less than a year ago, we’re curious to see what this familiar face, but unfamiliar name, has in store for us at Panorama. Having recently debuted a new EP, Missing Link, only time will tell if the artist will also be debuting a new look. Perhaps, dare we even complete it… no beard? GASP. His style has remained pretty classic and fairly predictable as Chet, sticking to jeans and white shirts, but we must say we are excited to see how this Nick guy dresses.
BleachedThis trio is breathing new life into punk rock with its alternative twist and eccentric style. It’s been a minute since we’ve heard of a girl band, and this one is fulfilling all of that dyed-hair-teen-angst goodness we’ve been missing since the Avril days. Catch these girls Saturday to watch a killer performance and feel three times the outfit envy.
Tyler, the CreatorHaving recently made headlines for debatably coming out as queer, we’re frankly more concerned with Tyler, the Creator’s quirky style than his obscure sexual orientation. The rapper has proven himself as a bit of a style aficionado, gallantly mixing prints and patterns that would typically not be matched otherwise. Having also started his own brand of clothing titled Golf Wang (as a play on his rap collective Wolf Gang), it’s no secret that Tyler considers himself a purveyor of style. On that accord, he’ll undoubtedly be rocking some sick style during his performance Friday night.
