5/22/17: Your Weekly Activist Events Roundup

Pride Month is on the horizon, but with that said, we haven’t lost sight of the variety of other causes, initiatives and movements we stand alongside in solidarity. Take the students at University of Notre Dame as some inspiration for example, who walked out of their own graduation once Mike Pence took to stage¬†to deliver a speech. Turns out their walk-out spoke volumes over whatever trash he was planning on saying. So stay active brothers, sisters and everyone in between, use your voices, use your legs, use our roundup of actions and events!

Daily Action: Keep Your Eyes on the Ball РBudgets

Trump’s budget team, while he is out somewhere doing something, is finalizing his budget proposal, including major cuts and defunding to programs like Food Stamps, Children’s Health Insurance and Disability Insurance. Call your Member of Congress at¬†(844) 241-1141 to express concern for the potential budget that “takes away from those who are already suffering, in order to give more tax cuts to people who are already so rich that their quality of life will not be even slightly improved.”
