Welcome To New York | Ruschmeyers

King and Grove’s Ben Pundole and Rob McKinley, the geniuses behind The Surf Lodge and arguably, the men who made Montauk the hippest place to escape, have give us a new place to stay (and play) this summer in Ruschmeyer’s, Montauk’s newest hotspot.

It’s a whimsical "nautical summer camp" for kids of all ages with very gourmet camp fare: the restaurant is run by The Fat Radish’s Ben Towle and Phil Winser.

Friends and their families – Jenne Lombardo, Tenzin Wild, Magnus Berger, Ben Watts amongst them – turned out for opening weekend festivities, an inspired line up of everything from yoga and paddle boarding to theatrical and musical performances, followed by cookouts on the lawn and cocktails at the Electric Eel, where DJ Chelsea Leyland kept everyone dancing all night long.

It’s going to be a good summer.
