Milk Underground | Akasha Rabut
Milk Undergound‘s newest photographer Akasha Rabut has a distinct talent at creating interesting portraits of provocative individuals. Her use of natural light brings a distinguishing glow to her photos, a warmth that is inherent throughout her collection. Akasha’s interest lies in capturing intriguing people in their ordinary environments-this simple but effective approach results in striking portraits. Her lighthearted personality comes across in her photos, and her playful choice of subjects invokes curiosity. Who are these characters? What are their stories?
Originally from Kauai, Hawaii, Rabut earned her BFA in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute, and is currently residing in New Orleans. Milk Made is excited to have her shooting for us at the upcoming Escape to New York summer festival.
