Party Central: Phi Beta Wang
Burgers, pong tables, and glow sticks abounded at Alexander Wang‘s elaborate Phi Beta-themed affair at Pier 40 last night. “This is really my idea of a crazy Wang frat blowout,” said the host. Wang is known for his over-the-top after-parties, and last night’s fete did not disappoint.
Milk’s Mazdack Rassi greeted the guests wearing a beer drinking hard hat while bartenders kept the night colorful serving up Kanon Organic Vodka cocktails including the Grunge Goddess created by Apotheke. The night really got started when Made stars like Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty of Suno, Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs, and Jenne Lombardo took to the dance floor. Others tried their very first jello shots, or in Christina Ricci’s case utilized the extensive PlayStation offerings. “I’ve never been to a real frat party,” said the actress. “So you better believe I’m going full force tonight.”
At midnight, Tyler the Creator and Odd Future hit the stage sending the happily smashed crowd into a bona fide frenzy. Among the crowd were Bee Shaffer, Jared Leto, Zoe Kravitz, Hanne Gaby Odile, and a clearly impressed Russell Simmons. “This is definitely a very worthy party,” Simmons declared. “I haven’t seen a cooler use of beer at Fashion Week in a long time.”
