Bono made a rare fashion-week appearance at the Edun event at the Red Rooster restaurant in Harlem last night. The U2 frontman showed up to support his wife Ali Hewson, the founder of Edun, a label known for its style and substance. The celebration was to launch Pioneers, a men’s-wear campaign featuring 12 social entrepreneurs as models, including Marcus Samuelsson, the master chef and owner of Red Rooster. Earlier in the afternoon, Sting, Courtney Love, Michael Stipe, and Anna Wintour were among the boldfaced names that attended the Edun women’s wear show. Not surprisingly, Sharon Wauchob, Edun’s designer, was beaming backstage after the well-received show.
