9 Instagrams From the Gucci, LV, and Dior Cruise Shows You Need to See
It’s that weird, in-between time: five months after the Fall/Winter collections showed and four months before Spring/Summer shows. In fashion, they call it Cruise, and in the past week, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Dior have hosted incredibly outlandish shows for their Cruise collections, to which fashion bloggers and celebrities have flocked. To honor these shows, and the relentless live coverage they’ve all received, we compiled our favorite Instagrams from each show. Feast your pretty eyes…
There’s nothing quite like getting to see a Gucci show in action, but there’s something about this particular ‘gram—a video focusing on just the bottoms of the garments and the footwear—that really warms our hearts. And also helps us narrow down our “Shoes That We Need” list for next year. Talkin’ to you, studded oxfords with buckle strap.
Here we have adored fashion bloggers Susie Bubble (née Susie Lau) and Bryanboy sandwiching the Hong Kong actress Tina Leung. Note the ornately embroidered cushions, which each guest got to take home. Also note the ways in which Susie and Bryanboy paired their Gucci with tartan and plaid, respectively—and triumphantly.
Meet Sara Nozza, who has a rather enviable job as one of the head jewelry designers at Gucci. Here, she captures a precious moment in a delightful humblebrag Instagram post: the finale from Thursday morning’s show, from the illustrious backstage perspective. As the models take their final walk, Nozza captures an adorable Alessandro Michele thanking the crew for all of their hard work.
We’re not sure if these goodies came with every invitation, but if there’s one thing that’s going to get us to exert physical activity, it’s that Louis Vuitton kadima set. And, tbh, if there’s one thing that’s going to get us to shower, it’s that towel.
For some reason, a smiley Nicolas Ghesquiere is a lot more powerful than any other smiley creative director.
Jaden…we know you’re probably exhausted from seeing all of those clothes, but boy, sit up! Blogger Mira Duma is talking to you. Here, they’re chilling in one of the art galleries in the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum, where the Louis Vuitton show was held.
So this happened. And by “this” we mean an actual Dior train. Apparently they called it the Diorient Express and it shipped everyone to the Dior show at Blenheim Palace. The train included a lovely meal, lots of booze and incredible views of the countryside. We’re not jealous at all (yes we are).
Oh what have we here? Just a bevvy of Dior gals, looking hard AF. This would make an epic album cover—but in the meantime, well settle for ogling.
Everything about this Instagram is breathless: from the clothes, to the actual space and the grand, breathtaking columns. We also appreciate the rather quiet and polite attendees.
