About Last Night: Milk LA Celebrated The Work of Guy Bourdin
Last night, Milk LA unveiled its newest photography space, Studio 6, with a private exhibition of Guy Bourdin’s photographs, ranging from the 1960s-80s. The show was produced with Louise Alexander Gallery who exclusively represents The Guy Bourdin Estate.
As the sun went down, the setting mirrored Bourdin’s photos; guests lounged on the travertine pavilion with glasses of champagne and vibrantly colored clothing. Photographers, fine art insiders, and other creatives gathered to celebrate Bourdin’s limited edition work for campaigns such as Charles Jourdan, Roland Pierre, Chanel, and French Vogue. These pieces were shown alongside one-of-a-kind polaroids and never-before-seen Super 8 and 16mm film, which was projected across the cyclorama.
