About Last Night: Unfortunately, Ready to Wear With Luka Sabbat
The wait is over: last night, with the whole Milk fam in attendance and collaborative partners Luka Sabbat and Noah Dillon present, we unveiled Unfortunately, Ready to Wear, a prototype capsule collection designed by Sabbat and to benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council. Created to protect against five environmental threats (which were identified by the NRDC), Unfortunately, Ready to Wear is a collection of four prototype items that we could need in the future—if we don’t start making moves to reverse the damages of climate change. These are the items that may soon turn from fashion accessories to climate necessities.
The night kicked off with the premiere of the Unfortunately, Ready to Wear campaign video, which was shot in Malibu, California. Milk’s founder Rassi introduced Rhea Suh, the president of NRDC, who then passed the mic to Sabbat and Dillon. After the showing, the fam celebrated the collection by viewing the work and signing up to take a pledge of environmental action with the NRDC. Attendees also caught a glimpse of climate change around the world, with a projection of photos and video submitted by our Milk.xyz community and put on display alongside the collection.
Unfortunately, Ready to Wear is part of a much larger movement to protect the environment—one that the NRDC has been spearheading since 1970. Take the pledge to join us here, and be sure to stop by Milk Gallery now until Thursday, February 14.
Stay tuned to Milk for more morning recaps.
