1/19 — At the Milk Studios 8th floor presentations, so tired that I'm like "where am I?"

Ashley Smith's NYFW Diary For Milk Part 3

So we gave Ashley Smith, model and gal-about-town, a Polaroid camera and a shit ton of film to keep us on both side of the shows this NYFW. While she’s usually ruling the runway herself, this time around, Smith is running all over the city to give us a peak at the inner workings of NYC’s biggest week of the season. From the wildest parties to the poshest private dinners, the gap-toothed beauty is showing off how to do Fashion Week right.  Stay tuned for more of Ashley’s inside scoop.

The theme for this Fashion Week is definitely girl power. It’s been awesome to see my lady squad around. I got to see pals all weekend. On Saturday I went to the 8th floor presentations at MADE Fashion Week, where I especially loved the designs from Sandy Liang. That night I hit up the Adidas pop-up shop party in Soho, where Theophilus London  DJ’d. I skipped the Alexander Wang party to have pizza in bed with friends- it was the only way I could be productive on Sunday!

I woke up in the morning with my boyfriend, Charlie, and it was definitely hard to part and go back to fashion week. But fashion never sleeps! That night I went to the Purple Magazine dinner at Narcissa at The Standard East. I saw some of my best friends – artist Carly Mark, Kilo Kish, leather designer Zana Bayne, artist and model India Salvor Menuez, and Kay Kasparhauser from The Prettiots – and I love them so much that I even had to interrupt their dinner to get a pic! Afterwards I went to the Opening Ceremony party at China Chalet, where I saw a ton of friends and some celebs – I got Jessica Alba to pose with my roommate, artist Chloe Wise, and my friend Adam from ASTR hung with Joey Bada$$. It was a good night, but I still managed to make it to the lovely Houghton show the next day, followed by Jeremy Scott. Stay tuned for pics!
