Bask in These Killer Afropunk Looks
In its 11 years, Afropunk Fest has become widely known for two things: the killer and incredibly diverse lineup (punk and funk and rap all live together here), and for its super stylish, ridiculously good looking crowd. The festival-goers singular getups can be largely attributed to the festival’s philosophy, which explicitly forbids no sexism, racism, or prejudice of any kind, allowing people, by extension, to be their most fabulous and freest selves.
Of course, this year didn’t disappoint, with head-to-toe sartorial choices that referenced different aspects and garbs of African cultures, from hairstyles to body adornments. To see some of our favorites, check out our gallery above. Just be advised: you will find yourself sartorially salivating.
