Behind The Scenes With Mara Hoffman x Milk Makeup [NYFW]
The ’90s woman is having her moment: dewy, bronzed, and unapologetic about embracing her best self, the revival is in full swing, and we couldn’t be happier. Exhibit A? Mara Hoffman’s Fall ’17 presentation, which, in collaboration with Milk Makeup, established the brand as the self-love standard of the season. With Creative Director and Milk Makeup Co-founder Georgie Greville as co-director of the show, the creative brand duo produced looks that managed to embody that one thing that makes each unique woman so damn brilliant—with an emphasis on natural beauty, clothes that flatter, and an MO of female empowerment, it was a presentation to remember (to say the very least).
“We wanted to channel a bit of the laid back ’90s woman while highlighting her unique features,” says Lead Makeup Artist, Deanna Melluso. “Our goal for the makeup was to be natural and utilitarian while championing each model’s natural beauty and character. We wanted to bring back a bit of the ’90s girl with bronzed dewy skin and a brown or berry lip.”
It seems that the Mara Hoffman x Milk Makeup alliance might just be a match made in feminist beauty Heaven. We got first dibs on behind the scenes shots from the event; peep the photos above to get the full visual story.
