Broadly Speaking: Protect Kids Not Guns
This weekend, we’re adding our voice to the thousands (perhaps millions?) that are calling for responsible gun control legislation by joining the March For Our Lives in Washington, DC. If actions speak louder than words, then let this be how we’re remembered: as the generation that will not—cannot—sit idly by.
In that same spirit, this week we handed over the microphone on Milk.xyz to two students who embody that commitment to action—Pedro Damasceno and David Morales—who, hailing from a Florida school just minutes away from where tragedy struck at Marjory Stoneman Douglas, recorded interviews with the victims-turned-activists themselves. Stepping aside to amplify the student perspective, we’re making good on our promise that Milk is a platform that stands alongside emerging creatives to collaboratively work toward change. Hear straight from Emma Gonzalez, Brandon Dasent, Bryan Herrera, David Hogg, and Shay McKinde on Milk.xyz now. Further, Pedro and David will also be hosting our Instagram coverage of the March in DC this weekend in our continued partnership.
If you can’t make it to DC, it’s likely that your local community is hosting a march of its own—check on that here. Stay safe and stay vigilant. I said it once and I’ll say it again—your voice matters. Perhaps now more than ever before.
