Catch A$AP Ferg x UNIFORM at Their Collab Pop-up Shop Tomorrow
Just days after releasing the track list for his new mixtape, Still Striving, A$AP Ferg also announced a pop-up shop opening in NYC tomorrow, August 18, for his collaboration with the ethical clothing brand UNIFORM. Starting at 7 PM on 63 Greene Street in Lower Manhattan, fans can cop limited editions of Ferg’s staple pieces such as hoodies, bomber jackets, sweatpants, button-downs, and hats. The best part? All merch retails for under $200.
Ok, we lied; this is actually the best part: a portion of the proceeds from each item will go towards providing school uniforms for children to be able to attend school in Liberia. On top of that, UNIFORM specifically provides jobs to women in countries ranging from Liberia to Uganda.
The two collaborators are more connected than you think; apart from making an appearance at the pop-up tomorrow night, the mastermind himself will also be debuting his new TIDAL documentary, A$AP Ferg: Where Stars Are Born—a film that details Ferg’s experience in Liberia, West Africa where his collaboration with UNIFORM began.
Not a bad way to spend a Friday night, tbh. A little activism with a dash of street fashion and we’re excited for it.
In collaboration with award-winning social entrepreneur Chid Liberty, UNIFORM is an ethical fashion clothing brand funded initially through a Kickstarter campaign back in 2015. In 2017, A$AP Ferg signed on as the Creative Director of UNIFORM after a collaboration with the brand and his own label, Traplord.
A woman’s line will launch in Fall 2017 on retailer via Amazon and UNIFORM’s site. While you wait to cop the pop-up goodies, a complete listing of UNIFORM products can be found online here.
