Chicago Fans Want Chance The Rapper to Run For Mayor
Finally, some political news has surfaced that won’t make your head spin (slash, trigger your gag reflex). Chance The Rapper fans have gathered the troops for Chicago’s 2K19 Mayor election, and their message is clear: #ChanoForMayor. Yep—we’ll gladly take the liberty to state that Chance The Rapper is now (here’s hoping) a candidate for the 2019 mayoral race, for a city that’s badly in need of change, and yes, we’re obviously stoked. As mentioned on the #ChanoForMayor site (peep it here), Chicago’s stats are not good: since 2011, when Mayor Rahm Emanuel first entered office, the city has undoubtably suffered—from school closings, police abuse, and civil rights violations; you name it, Chicago’s seen it. This [hopeful] campaign is one of change, and optimism, and it came not a moment too soon. So Chance, if you’re reading this—we support you, and we salute you. We know you have a heart for this city, and so do we. Chi town, it’s all systems go.
