Exclusive: Peep Friday's Sebo Walker x Lucas Beaufort Gallery Show
Sebo Walker and Lucas Beaufort made their way to New York City for their exhibition in spectacular, adventurous fashion: Walker arrived a mere two days before the gallery show, having competed in Barcelona at the Street League European Am series, while Beaufort had spent the last three weeks driving up the I-95 from Florida with his wife, participating in several art shows at core skate shops along the east coast. By 7 pm on Friday, May 26, the doors opened and the exhibition at The Soho Arts Club was ready for the world to see—with both Walker and Beaufort ready for the onslaught of praise and good cheer that was sure to come.
And come it did: with DJ Sheik rocking the beats, skaters and art enthusiasts from all over NYC stormed the gallery, their highest expectations met, and surpassed. One favorite piece of the night? A work titled “Les Marches Du Paradis” (that’s “Stairway to Heaven”). Krooked Skateboards founder and artist slash skateboarder extraordinaire Mark Gonzales graced the gallery with his appearance, and it was the delectable cherry on top of Friday’s rager. Didn’t make it out? Peep the photos from Soho Arts Club in the slideshow above.
