To whomever said radio was a dying medium: you simply didn’t listen to the right stations.

Today, we’re teaming up with one of our favorite stations that’s commandeering the airwaves, Red Bull Radio, to explore their newest radio series, “Nightclubbing”. A weekly show hosted by veteran radio producers and reporters Julia Alsop and Todd L. Burns, the series aims to investigate the ways in which notable nightclubs in cities around the world have affected the course of culture.

Delving into the history of each club, “Nightclubbing” is an in-depth look into the formation of nightlife communities through the critical lens of periodical examination. The six-week series will draw from expertise from all facets—whether it’s music journalists, DJs, club regulars, or even old bouncers, “Nightclubbing” aims to present a well-rounded look at each club through a diverse set of interviews.

“I’m so excited to showcase how nightlife is actually an important part of daylife, too,” says co-host Burns. “Hugely important changes in culture, music, fashion and much more all stem from what has happened in extraordinary nightclubs like the one we’ve talked about in the series. It’s a pleasure to shine a light on great nightclubs around the world and the difference they have made in the lives of, literally, millions of people.”

If you missed the first installment of the series, featuring The Loft and David Mancuso in our favorite city, NYC, check out the podcast version of the show here.
