'I'm Not Sure Yet' Chronicles The Life of LA Artist Reece
Look out for Virginia-born alt/R&B rising artist Reece as he slays the street of his home base, Los Angeles, California, with his new debut EP I’m Not Sure Yet. Officially dropping tomorrow, the EP was produced by Heavy Mellow (Halsey, 30 Seconds To Mars, Glass Animals), Trackside, Erik Ron, and Jo Blaq, and written and recorded by the rising artist himself. To make a long story short, I’m Not Sure Yet reflects a personal transition before and after his move to Los Angeles.
“It is chronically my life and you can really hear the growth and progression in this project. This is the most special thing I’ve done in my career and I can’t wait for my audience to hear it.”
Inspired by the likes of Frank Ocean, Lana Del Rey, and Imogen Heap, Reece emphasizes the importance of connecting with his audience. As seen through his previous breakthrough singles “Ghost” and “Don’t Go”, relatability is a key concept in his tracks. Now in early 2019, Reece has arrived with his strongest effort yet.
“Sometimes in life there are relationships and people who are so close to you,” he says. “The idea of losing them is very scary. I write my music for myself as well as people who are going through the same thing. My biggest goal is to make them feel like—even though the songs can be sad—they’re not alone. They can listen to me and feel like they belong. That’s what my favorite artists did for me.”
In support of the EP, Reece will perform his debut show in NYC with Finneas at Baby’s All Right on February 4. Fans can expect more new music and live performances from Reece this year.
