Live From The Milk JamRoom: DJ Ellie Prohan
If you haven’t tuned into London’s foundation.fm, now’s your chance to get back in the loop. Yesterday, foundation’s DJ Ellie Prohan was live from the Milk JamRoom with a Valentine’s Bae special that knocked her girlfriend off her feet (and not in the way you’d necessarily expect). Prohan came with some hard-hitting (and potentially embarrassing!) inquiries, and you answered. Coined the WDYD (“what do you do?”) game, it’s a signature of Prohan’s and one she brings to her nightly foundation show, which airs Monday-Friday 5-7 pm in the UK. When she’s not hosting her radio show, she’s DJ-ing gigs like the Milk Makeup London launch party. And beyond her Milk fam duties, she also co-hosts GLo, a club night for London’s LGBTQA community. Oh, and she also runs a salon in London, as if she wasn’t already busy enough.
“GLo is for people who aren’t stereotyped by their sexuality or their gender,” she says. “So it’s a space where you come and you can be whoever you want to be and you’re just not judged. It’s all about hip hop and R&B…just a night for cool people.”
Prohan’s M.O. of inclusivity and good vibes is clearly something we can get behind. If you missed Happy Hour yesterday afternoon, cop a listen below. Stay tuned for the next GLo event (we’re crossing our fingers that it will happen soon this side of the pond).
