Charles Youssef Dressed Winter Babes With A Yakuza Edge

The Charles Youssef Fall/Winter ’16 presentation at MADE Fashion Week may have been the first show to embrace the frigid temperatures with open arms. As models in the brand’s signature geometrically-inspired garments sat and stood around barren boulders, we got the sense that we’d walked into a band of rogue princesses taking a pit stop in the Enchanted Forest. A lone tree whipped bare of its leaves was accentuated garments punctuated with triangle detailing–a throwback to last season’s structured silhouettes with a newfound edge. Youssef toyed with a yakuza influence this season that had the girls itching to whip out their katanas. It left us wondering why it’s been years since a new Kill Bill movie had come out. Maybe he’ll dress The Bride.
