Meet Jordan Kale Barrett, a model who looks as healthy and fresh as his namesake.

Model Jordan Kale Barrett Is A Lowkey 'Harry Potter' Nerd [MADE LA]

Australian male model Jordan Kale Barrett was beaming at Moschino, which was fitting for someone who’s middle name is the very vegetable that evokes all things healthy and beautiful–especially for fashion people, who will not stop creating salads with it (although the terror of Sweetgreen‘s Beets Don’t Kale My Vibe is thankfully over). Barrett kind of looks like if River Phoenix juiced and worked out a lot, which is to say that he looks very, very good. We caught up with Barrett for a chill minute before the show to get his thoughts on Empire Records, his time with Jeremy Scott, and lollipops.

Who would you want to play you in a movie?

Oh, Catch me If You Can!

Totally, Leo, I can see it! What’s your favorite munchies snack?

Salt and vinegar chips. I love them.

What would you call your autobiography?

I Blame Jordan.

Are you into the Moschino collection?

My first show was with Jeremy a year and a half ago in Milan, and I’ve done it ever since. I have a great relationship with him, so it’s really fun to come back again and do it. And we get to be in LA, which I love.

A cigarette! A betrayal of kale!

LA’s nice. Do you like LA or New York better?

LA is a better lifestyle, you can drive to the beaches. New York is a bit depressing if you’re there [for awhile], but I’ve been there for two days in the last month and a half.

If you were a lollipop flavor, which would you be?

What’s your favorite book?

Last Night in the Viper Room. I don’t really like fiction, [but] I also was very into Harry Potter.

Harry Potter’s fucking great.

Yeah! The movies are better.

What are the top three songs you’d want to play while driving around LA?

“A Girl Like You.”

Oh that’s a great song. From Empire Records?

Yeah, Empire Records, that’s where I got it from. I also like “Higher” by that guy Sigma. And “Dani California.”
